All skilled care is provided by licensed professionals. To ensure that each patient receives the appropriate time that is needed to address their problems and needs, all therapy services are provided by scheduled appointments. This is done to promote the best possible outcomes for rehabilitation, making sure that each patient receives the time, with a therapist, that his or her condition requires. Patients are asked to be mindful of all appointment times so that the best possible outcomes for their problem can be achieved.
Referrals can be made by calling any of the Atlantic Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation offices. These referrals can come directly from the doctor, or if the doctor indicates that a patient needs therapy, the patient can choose Atlantic Physical Therapy and call us directly. South Carolina is a "Direct Access" State, meaning that a physicians order is not necessary to initiate physical or occupational therapy. However, in almost all cases, insurance will not provide reimbursement for these services unless they are ordered by your physician. If you have any questions, please feel free to call any of our offices. |
